Whoever said diamonds are a girls’ best friend never wore a jumpsuit. Stylish yet comfortable, and can be both dressy and casual. A jumpsuit can also be perfect for either winter or summer months, depending on the style. And speaking of style, well, there are tons. From button snaps to sewn in straps. Perhaps you want something more of a loose fit that you can layer with a cute top underneath. Wide leg or skinny, or how about texture? How about pockets or drawstring, capri or extra long? Take a look below at the 7 trending styles for 2025 below.
1 – The Jean Jumpsuit
Not to be confused with overalls, which are similar and where the jean jumpsuit originated from.
Where overalls were created to be used more as a protective barrier, much like an apron or vest. Overalls go back hundreds of years and were worn primarily when working on farms or in factories. Made of a sturdy denim and suited more for safety and functionality, whereas the jean jumpsuit is much more suited for style. While they may look similar, that is where the similarities end. A jean jumpsuit is made from a more relaxed denim so it doesn’t feel so boxy and stiff. And from there the styles are limitless. Stone washed, black, light blue or classic blue jeans. My personal favorite is the Sail Blue Denim Bib straight Leg Jumpsuits, with pockets of course.
2 – The Corduroy
Jumpsuits can be a great option for the colder months. It’s all about the texture, and my personal favorite texture for the winter time is corduroy. Typically made from cotton, polyester, or even nylon, corduroy is thicker than most other fabrics. The fabric consists of raised ridges that feel soft to the touch. They are thick like denim, however much softer. Because of these traits, a corduroy jumpsuit is ideal for the colder months. I prefer the Morn Solid Pocketed Loose Fit Corduroy jumpsuit because the loose fit makes it possible to wear a sweater underneath as well.
3 – The Velvet
If you’re still considering a jumpsuit for cold weather but aren’t a huge fan of corduroy, don’t worry there are more options. A velvet jumpsuit is also a popular look, and a bit more fancy as well. Perfect for your office holiday party. Velvet is a closely woven fabric with a short, plush pile.
Because velvet was originally made from silk, you can imagine how incredibly soft it is. Due to the fact that velvet gives off a sophisticated appearance but is also on the thicker side, it’s perfect if you’re looking for a dressy winter jumpsuit. I love the Fiery Red Velvet Pocketed Cut out Back Wide Leg Jumpsuit. The wide leg option is a nice touch if you want to pair it with some cute boots too.
4 – The Classic Romper
The romper is a staple for hot summer days. It’s like a jumpsuit, only with shorts. And just like the jumper, there are many different styles to choose from. Material wise, linen or cotton is a great choice due to the breathability. When you visit the Dear Lover site, check out the Textured Knotted Straps High Waist Wide Leg Romper. It makes for a popular option that sells quickly. 100% cotton and loose fitting material makes it great to catch a summer breeze.
5 – High Neck Jumpsuit
When you picture a jumpsuit you are probably picturing a tank top style. While that’s very common, it’s not all there is. The Terry Textured Sleeveless Button Front Wide Leg Jumpsuit is loose fitted and wide legged for comfort, and made with 100% polyester for even more comfort. While it is sleeveless, the front buttons up all the way to the neck. You can pair it with an under shirt if you don’t want to button up all the way, however it’s a super cute option if you chose to.
6 – The Strapless Jumpsuit
Let’s face it, sometimes we’re not in the mood to dress simply for comfort. Sometimes we want to feel a bit sexy. The strapless jumpsuit is a great option when you want to dress it up a bit, whether for a first date or a girls’ night out. My favorite strapless jumpsuit has a fitted top while the pants flare out at the bottom. This way you can mix sexy with still a tad bit of comfort.
7 – Long Sleeved Jumpsuit
Jumpsuits may seem like they’re all strapless, but that’s not the case. Many jumpsuits come with sleeves as well. Whether it’s just a cap sleeve, a three-quarter sleeve, or all the way down to the wrist sleeve. You can get a summer romper with a sleeve, or a winter velvet jumpsuit with fitted, full sleeves. Don’t let the extra fabric place this style jumpsuit strictly in the winter or summer pile. Sometimes less is more, however sometimes more is more.
